Monarch of Glen Extract shows the enforcement of the busy, smart and strict stereotypes, which are positive for the adults as they can use this as a standing point in society to gain authority, but negative for youth (and even elderly) as they lose all chance of having authority over everyone. The teenagers/youth in the clip are shown to be irresponsible and troublesome, enforcing a negative stereotype amongst the group, acting almost childish and moody in one scene, also negative. The elderly (Headmaster) in this clip follow the stereotypical grey haired and judgemental trait, which are negative. However, he does not follow the stereotype of being vulnerable or fragile as he dominates an argument, eventually winning. This is positive for the elderly as it shows they have some control and input in society
